12 to 5 level translation

I want to design a unidirectional voltage level translator, that translates high logic level signals from 3 to 12 V to level of 5 V.Can anyone help me?Exist links that explain how to make the circuit?

high voltage level translator

it seems that you want to convert the logic of voltage i.e you are using RS232 to CMOS level

so go for max232 voltage level converter IC
check the data sheet you will probably get the answer

how to build a level translator

Thanks for the quich answer.
But I must convert only the high voltage level from range between 3 to 12 V in a level of 5 V. The low voltage level must be left on 0 V. It is possible to design a simple circuit (with one or two transistors) that performs this translations?

rs232 cmos 2.8v circuit

you can make a comparator circuit using opamp
compare the level with a voltage of 2.8V and gives a supply of 5V to the IC
so whenever you will get a higher voltage you will get a 5V o/p else 0V

single supply level translator

A good idea! Thanks another time for the rapid answer!

voltage-level translator

This might help.

Single supply level shifter.
