Viewing windows partition in linux: fstab file and NTFS

Need help

I need to view the windows partions in linux , i used to do this by adding a line in fstab file but i was using FAT as file system but now i am using ntfs and when i use the same line (with replacing VFAT with NTFS) it doesn't work so can any one help me.

You will need to download ntfs driver build for the kernel version you are currently running. You can find rpms on **broken link removed**. But, if you upgrade the kernel. you must also install the new ntfs driver which goes with that kernel version.

use the mount command...but first u shud knw wat of ur partitions r ur windows partitions by using system tools-->hardware browser-->hddrives
den use mount command with -t option like

mount -t vfat /dev/hda5 /mnt/ (my hda5 is fat32 shown n windows as F:\)
/mnt/ is the folder where u will find ur windows drive contents...
