charater will be displayed on the tv at x,y location

can any one help me

hi
what do you want to do with microcontroller ,generating video or processing any input video signal?

check at the Cornell University's embedded course page.

You can search the web for that and also try www.piclist.com. Never the less most MCU are to slow to generate video signal (wth pic the best you can do is a B/W low resolution signal). AVR mcu are a bit faster try www.avrfreaks.com). If you like PIC based mcu try scenix mcu, they are similar to pic but runs up to 100 MHz ( www.ubicom.com ).
I hope this helps you.

Your video data is captured via serial port?

are U using P2P? or with RTOS?
