VGA and microcontrollers

What solution would you recommend for VGA interface for microcontroller? So far I have found only http://www.microvga.com/ or solutions with ISA VGA card connected to a MCU (which is .. ehm, not very practical).

If you are familiar to the FPGAs, you can design your own VGA driver with an FPGA.

You have another option that to use PICASA's ready VGA modules.
