How can I show that a ring vco is stable with a frequency range and satisfy barkhausen criterion using cadence virtuoso?what king of plot a have to plot for that?

Best answers for best (complete) questions: Show us the circuit.

it's a 5stage ring oscillator with simple inverter as delay cell.

magnitude of the open loop gain of a ring VCO

How can I able to know the magnitude of the open loop gain of a ring VCO and plot it using cadence virtuoso?kindly help me.

Re: magnitude of the open loop gain of a ring VCO

Open the VCO ring anywhere and put an iprobe symbol in between. Then run an STB analysis and plot (the log of) the magnitude (and phase, if you like). Both are from open loop gain.
