I'm seriously considering using a pair of 2x2 MIMO 802.11x radios to feed 4 X 90 degree sector antennas to achieve high gain omnidirectional coverage.
I know this isn't how MIMO is meant to be used but I think this should work. I don't expect to exceed 3 MBits/s so I don't really need the frequency reuse aspect of MIMO that would be lost. Has anyone ever done this? Is it possible?
