unknown component

i get the assembly code but, the schematic had an unknown component anybody can help me please... and what the function for this schematic??

**broken link removed**

thank you

Re: unknown component

Hi apekesmaster,

I think the unknown component you are referring is the one whose o/p is connected to pin9 of PIC18F252.

Since the output is connected to pin9 ie, CLOCK input of the controller, it must be an oscillator module, something like this: **broken link removed**

unknown component

Hi,
Or can be a power on reset, an Vcc monitor undervoltage-detector/Supply supervisor...

Re: unknown component

Hi karesz,

But why should one connect - power on reset, an Vcc monitor undervoltage-detector/Supply supervisor..., to the clock pin.

Also the device doesn't seem to have an internal oscillator and anyway it should get a clock from somewhere':D'.

unknown component

OK,
but I don knowed that its a dedicated clk pin!
Good, if it dont have some internal clk possibilty, clear, it needs a clock. :)

unknown component

There are three components that are unknown in the schematic, one on top, one on left and one on right part of the schematic.

The one on the top is clearly a clock source.

The one on the left seems to be a potentiometer.

The one on the right, I cannot figured out.

unknown component

Hi,
If the right side one is unknown, than is a 4th too in bottom of schema:)...
These both are clearly connectors.
But you are right, the at left side can be a poti, but must be not 100%...

No, on the bottom of the schematic is a MAX233, it written right there.

The one on the upper left seems like a crystal oscillator (crystal + oscillator circuit, not just crystal).

The component to the right seems just like a simple connector. That long shape and pins on just one side is typical representation of connectors.

Hi.
this is canned oscillator. like on the link bellow.

I'm 100 % sure .

Hi,
And why did you forget "the ding" called X1 (under MAX232) pls? :)
The connector on the right side is surly a 15 pin D-Sub...
