The methods for generating single sidebands

hello everyone gudevening..can anyone help me on my research on the methods on how a single sidebands is being generated? plss i need the complete answer..thanks!

There are two methods:

1- Using Filtering
You generate a DSB signal and then apply highpass/lowpass/bandpass filtering to suppress one of the sidebands. The problem is that ideal filtering doesn't exist and thus the gradual cutoff of a filter causes partial suppression of the other band also !

2- Using Hilbert transform
You can search for it. It makes a 90 phase shift for all the spectrum and employs a certain block diagram, this is not ideally realizable because phase shift cannot be applied to the whole frequency domain.
