Hi!
For the switching characteristic of IC chips, may I know I have to meet the test condition for CL and RL from the datasheets of all 74 series IC chips in order to get the stated propagation delay time? If so, how to connect CL and RL for the chip? in series or parallel connection?

thanks!

Hi,

Generally switching-characteristics are defined as a range (or only maximum value). Those are valid for specified output load (again a range).

Test circuit diagrams and test-signals are provided by manufactures (usually in datasheets).

Thank you,
