Suggestions needed for project proposal in channel coding

Hi guys I think this topic may have been posted earlier but I want to know some good final year project proposals. I have about 6 months to complete it and I like the field of channel coding. And please can u ppl direct me to a good knowledge source that contains sound knowledge about different modern digital communications technologies. Thanx for your help

you can make a project in channel coding, first study the different types and then present a comparison between them,

choose any one of them to implement its characteristics using matlab
