Hello helpers,

I have 2 RF blocks (A1 and A2) which is serial connected to each other.
Each of them has 2 ports so the total "A1+A2" also has 2 ports.
Normally if we have A1.s2p and A2.s2p, we can easily combine them by AWR or HFSS circuit...

But in this case, I already have A1.s2p data.
I also have s2p data of "A1+A2 block".
Is this possible to extract A2.s2p from "A1.s2p" and "A1+A2.s2p"?
Thank you!

Yes, this is possible. This process is called de-embedding.

Here is another application note (email request):

Most simulators support this by special de-mebedding data blocks that you can cascade to remove that part.
For example in Keysight ADS simuator, you would cascade A1.s2p as a de-embedding block, followed by data block A2.s2p
