Dear All,
I want to simulate a system with M-QAM modulation and convolutional
coding based on code and modulation rates of HYPERLAN/2 standard.
I can simulate BPSK modulation with viterbi soft decision decoding, Unfortunately, I have some problems to simulate a M-QAM(M>2) with viterbi soft decision decoding. would you please guide me to do this work or adress me a good reference .

Sincerely yours,
Morteza Mardani

Its not a problem.. ucan use higer code rate for convolutional coding like 2/3,5/6 etc... and so also in viterbi decoding....

see 802.16d standard on this forum... its explaination is there...
