hi,

i m in need of design for the output capacitors, filter capacitors and inductors for the 200W, 60V charger.

and also need to know how the EMI filter can be designed.

Thanks...

To calculate filter capacitor and inductor, you must know the ripple voltage and ripple current limits first. See the attached file. Can be helpful.

Dear sathieshram
Hi
Surely but what kind of charger you are referring to ? out put filter for what topology ? can you attach your schematic , please ? when you are talking about an SMPS charger i can think about a buck converter or a forward converter or an half bridge or a push pull or a ...... .

HI,

I am designing using the forward converter.
give me also the design for the flyback transformer.

thanks.

hi sathieshram,
is it a battery charger if so filtering is not needed much. you should specify for which purpose the circiut is used.

hi,

used for charging battery vehicle.

hi sathieshram,
for your purpose i think after rectification only one series inductor will do there is no need for any filter capacitors. battery can be better charged from pulsed voltage.

For flyback converter, you can do without the output inductor. However, adding one for filtering won't hurt.

You have to let us know about other parameters such as switching frequency, minimum output load, minimum and maximum duty cycles, etc.

Hope this helps.
Tahmid.
