Hi Experts,

I have a confusion in selecting part for the design and its mating cables.Below are the drawings for reference.

https://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/733870020_sd.pdf
https://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/732520090_sd.pdf

I want to understand what does 2.92mm and 2.4 mm Jack signifies? The PCB foot print are compatible and not clear what parameter does this value represent.

Also would like to know if both these connectors can be mated to the same SMA cables or they require separate cables for each 2.92 mm and 2.4 mm.

Regards,
VJ

Hi VJ,

I had checking the drawing you list, they are PCB type for micro-strip, and not for cables.

2.92mm can mate with SMA and 3.5mm, 2.4mm can mate with 1.85mm.

So you want to design SMA, 2.92mm, 2.4mm use the same type cable? sorry, maybe i understand you wrong
