sigma delta vs. delta modulator

hello everyone !!!

My question is-- does sigma delta modulator also faces the problem slope overload and granular noise, just like the delta modulator????
 

Yes. SDMs face both slope overload distortion and granular noise. They are usually used in high resolution ADC design.
