Sharing data between clients in a LAN

Hi,

I'd like to share data between clients in a LAN.
I successfully sent the data from one server to one client using simple socket programming. It is required now to share this data between 6 clients.

Do any one has any suggestions?

you can use multicast (but may have problems if all the clients are not on the same subnetwork).

otherwise the server keeps a list of connected clients and sends the same data to all of them
