Dear sir,

I want to select an inductor for SFP transceiver power supply filter circuit.

Please find the attached schematics for the reference.

How to select an inductor ? Any inductor with 1micro Henry, & DC resistance <1 Ohm specification is enough ?

I would like to know what are the other specifications that I need to consider when selecting an inductor for SFP transceiver power supply circuit ?

Please respond to this.

Regards,
Thulasi

1 uH is a very small value and you can make it from a few loops of wire on the circuit board. (At least that's how I've seen it in radios.)

There are air-core inductor calculators online. One of them will tell you the proper length, diameter, and number of turns.

I don't think a few loops of wire on a pcb (pcb track) will get you to 1uH , but an air core inductor as mentioned is certainly viable.
