average salaries for engineers in sweden

yes, its the salary for a month. Some industries may pay more , but the average is about 400 to 900 USD per month .
Also, in Iran work time is 44 hours per week , and we have 2.5 days leave per month (1 month per year).
The unemployment rate is rather high and finding a job is the main problem,so some applicants might accept lower salaries just to get a job.The situation for engineering graduates is somewhat better , but for other graduates, such as agricultural graduates the situation is regrettable , we have 40000 unemployed agricultural graduates!

I think working and living in Germany/Austria/Switzerland is the best choice. May be the people in Germany and Switzerland are colder than normal, but the austrians are very warm. Switzerland is very expencive, but the salaries are higher and the taxes are low. Germany is much cheaper, but the tax is 20% and health-care insurance 13% + pension insurance 17%.

In Germany you can get 4K a month as a fresh graduate, and 5 - 8K as a an experienced/senior engineer.

Austria, Germany, Switzerland offer very high standard, good health care services have a look at:

Depends So Much on the area. A flat in Madrid or Bcna can reach 6000€/m^2. Renting an old standard apartment is 900~1200€.

A coke from 0.4€ in supermarkets to 4€ in pubs. Typical vending machine: 1.2€

1Mb ADSL 30€ (ouch!)

Metro in Madrid: 1€ / single ticket

Gas: ~1€/L

Starbucks latte: 3.5€

Standard coffee: 1€

McDonald's menu: 6€

Taxes: Almost everything you buy has 16% of I.V.A.
Income: 24-43%

And you will have 3 or 4 bars (beer, not physics) / street :D

SA Mohammad...
The taxes depend on each country...but since you'd be a foreigner...you get a special tax regime which is calculated upon your acceptance of the offer...it's much less than the natives of course...but it'd be about 15-25%

the living costs would be also depending on your family size, the area of the house and its distance from city center... and the country of course...but it won't be less than 500-600 euros...for something that's "good"...!

35k - 50k is a real wide range .. specially when we talk in GBPs. This is like when we say in the US a salary range of 60k - 90k :) .. with effectively one end expressing a fresher and the other expressing a pretty experienced senior :)

Anyhow .. thanks for the info ..

imec engineer salaries

15k ain't a "wide range"...!
your "range" was 30k...differs, doesn't it ?
also, you're talking about different locations...EU, UK, USA!
many differences :D

anyway, good luck

15K (GBP) ~= 30k (USD)
so, the range is effectively 30K USD .. which is a real huge range if we are speaking internationally (purchase power).

How about what was written earlier...

As seen here in this earlier post...the range of salaries is huge! A 40K gap for eng. management, 30K for top engineers,.. , down to 5K for beginners...so for instance, in the salaries of "top engineers", I didn't find a fresher at 50K nor a senior at 80K !!! the 50k-80k was given for just one position...why wasn't that a "very wide range" ...the guy says they're real numbers

salary range of an engineer in denmark

so, how much does it cost to rent a 2-bedroom apart. (on average) in Belg. ?

where in europe highest salaries

it really depends on the city, the neighborhood...and the building type...
i'll talk about leuven, that's where i am..
for a 2 bedroom apartment, you could get something for 550-650 €, in a huge apartment building, and a noisy place :D

in a smaller building and quieter neighborhood, it'll be around 650-750 €

of course, that doesn't include the extra costs of the garbage system, and the cleaning, etc...
