RSF E- MSA 670.63 and MSA 6706 ENCODER?

Hi...
can some one help me out on this.

Actually, what is the different between MSA 6706 and MSA 670.63?

I have tried to replaced MSA 6706 with a MSA 670.63 but seem like the outcome is different. I have faced alot of problem once I replaced it.
1st problem is that the reading on the encoder with MSA 670.63 can not go up to the range of 300mm, eventhough it is stated with a maximum range of 420mm. Previously, with a MSA 6706, with the same spec and range can travel upto 350mm.

Is tthis mean that the Encoder got problem or I need to do some modification on my circuit to suite the replaced encoder? :?:
