Working it backwards, in the calculation string, you have:


1. A Root (square root) calculation

2. The Mean (the sum of a series of values) is calculated

3. Values are Squared (assures, among other things, no neg values)


Which is the epitome of an "RMS" Root-Mean-Square calculation (the calculation of the effective "DC heating value").


Said another way, The true power of an irregular waveform as applied to a resistor can be calculated with that block.
