I need to communicate on the wire over the 1000m distance . Is it possible to use the pic 18f448 which have the built in CAN module to communicate with each other over this distance , without the use of other accessory.
i can go as low as 400 bits per second for 1000m distance

The CAN module is interfaced to the CAN bus using a transceiver.
So it is the transceiver that matters.
Decreasing the bit rate allows for longer network distance.
500m at 125kbits/s is possible.
You would have to try out a system at 1000m and see what results you get.
If you get too many errors, you could use a repeater half way down the line.

ok got it , i shall need transceiver IC for the communication
