Question about OVSF codes in UMTS

Hi folks ,

I know OVSF codes are used for channelization in UMTS , I'd like to know , in a normal voice call , is the same OVSF code used for uplink and downlink ?

Also in which channel are the OVSF codes assigned ? is it the FACH ?

Thanks for the piece of info ... I read a few books on UMTS and couldnt find such an answer ... could you recommend me some usefool reference ?
