Hi,

I know that we can figure the Q factor of microstrip antenna if we know the bandwidth and its resonant freq.
But I want to know, is there any simple formula (because what I found is usually complex which include measurement results) for calculate the Q factor of microstrip antenna before we make any measurement (basically only know the material parameter like dielectric substrate and thickness; patch size and dimension).

Thanks before

hi Khan can you tell me that which book you are refer for the reference for the microstrip antenna?

hi vkalariya,

I refer to the Handbook of Microstrip Antenna, PS Hall, James, 1st, page 174-177

Thanks
