Helloss!!

Our problem is that our regulator is in a habit of burning..

The regulator is connected to max232 and the microcontroller Atmega128.. We have connected two capacitors of 470uF..

We have changed the burnt regulator time and again but we dont know where the real problem lies..

Kindly help us out..

Thanx in advance...

It would help if you supplied a circuit diagram?

If you are supplying the regulator from a high power source use a heat sink. Make sure it does not exceed the maximum rated in the datasheet .

also double check your connections.

Post your circuit.

A ordinary regulator can supply more than what rs232 and atm128.

we r using the heat sink already but still we are facing same problem .we are using the 8v as power supply.
