Hi,

I was trying to use the adc of my atmega32 MC.i wrote a code in which the a/d conversion was being done and value sent serially to computer.adc not in free running but continuously converting.the serial data transmitted was only of the ADCL and i did'nt read the ADCH value at all.due to this the serial data(adcl) was not updated.but then i read the adch value along with adcl value.now the serial data started to change according to input and updated continuously.can anyone please tell me if they are designed in such a way that only after both registers are read the next value is updated or is it any other problem?

Thank you.
