Problem concerning working with PICDEM LCD board with 18F8490 controller

hi,
iam using PICDEM LCD board with 18F8490 controller.
i am not able to put data in LCD. the democode they gave is perfectly running.
and the documentation they dont nt have much details of LCD or it pin outs.....

has any one earlier worked on the same before?
if any one has sample code in C for the above board please send me.

the LCD is 8 digit glass LCD.
