Power supply maximum ripple voltage for microcontroller

Hello,

I used very simple power supply for my circuit that used a micro-controller.


in my board exists 7812 for stabilization.
is it suitable fr micro?
If i use it, what problems may be occur?

That will work if the micro operated on 12V. Since most operate on 5V and 12V would zap them, you could use a 7805 instead which gives a regulated +5V.

what a bout ripple voltage?
Could be better by increase cap value? like 1000 uF?

Add one more 0.1 uf disc type capacitor also
