I want to use primepower for power estimation. I've done post synthesis simulation and generated VCD file correctly.then I used primepower commands for power estimation based on it't tutorial. but all the results of estimation are wrong because primepower consider a default 1Ghz clock not my clock pin. I also added create_clock in my power scripts but the clock used is still 1Ghz. How can I let primepower know to use my clock pin.?

probable you created clock but didnt connect to clock pin

did you use this command when creating ??

create_clock -name clk_name -period $timeperiod [get_ports clk]

i think it will calculate according to your vcd ,maybe you generated VCD file with wrong clock frequency

maybe you can try the powermeter
