Ya, Digital Image Processing by Gonzalez is good for beginners. Quite easy to understand. He has another version, DIP with Matlab. This I think is better where you can practise the matlab code while you study. Able to see the result is always helpful for you to understand better about the processes.
DIP by Anil Jain is full with mathematical expression, good for advance learner and researcher.

Swahlah, me again... If you have lecture for DIP, I wish to have a copy.

please dont give me the MATLAB codes of DIP using MATLAB book by Gonzeles ... i need the M-Files written for the Techniques of Image Enhancement and Restoration
