Please help me.. I am in deep trouble...........

I can draw a xformer in maxwell and it simulates. But the problem is outpur voltage is only 2 volt for 100 volt input voltage for the turn ratio of 1:1;

I use iron core... But the problem is still there.....

My primary and secondary windings are only 10 (it is fixed)........

Can you give me some idea.. where does the problem lie?

Re: Please help me in designing transmformer in Ansoft Maxwe

Are you saying that your model only has 10 turns on each winding? So at 100 volts (RMS?) that's 10 volts RMS per turn? If this is the case, and if your drive frequency is 50 or 60 hz, then unless your core is really massive (i.e., unless its cross sectional area is very large), you are saturating the core, and that is why your simulation shows only a few volts output.

In order to fix the problem, you'll either need many more turns, a much higher frequency, a larger core, or some combination thereof.
