pikprog

hello everybody,

dose anybody has any experience with PIKPROG/PIKPROG+ ??
( **broken link removed** )
i wanted to buy a PICSTART PLUS .. but after reading infos about this, i am not sure whether to buy picstart plus or pikprog+.
Alone, ICSP facility costs around 1000 Euro (with Promate II and ISCP module).

Any suggestions or any comment will be very helpful for my decision.

Thanks

PIC programmers

Hello,

in my opinion PIKPROG is a very good and cheap programmer for PIC.
It's very fast because works on PC parallel port, supports all PIC families
(12xxx, 14xxx, 16xxx,18xxx) and also serial EEPROM (24Cxxx, 24Fxxx,
25Cxxx,59Cxxx,85Cxxx,93Cxxx).
PIKPROG accepts many HEX file format (Intel,Intel EXT, Motorola S, ASCII-SPACE-HEX etc. ), and last but not least it's much cheaper than PICSTARTPLUS.

yes

hi friend

we have this programmer in office nice programmer and cheaper then the picstart plus, work fine i never found any problem in it from the day of purchase,

at home i used IC-PROG a nice programmer in free ware line up with propic2 hard ware

All programmers from Elnec looks to by profi...

I use smartprog and labprog without problems.

thank you all guys for your comments .. now I own a pikprog :D

another little question :

Is there anyway to use this programmer within MPLAB ??

regards

no,It cooperate through hex file only.

Does anyone know the programming protocol between MPLAB and PICStart Plus?
