Hi,

I'm a novice. I some have problems regarding the parallel RC circuit and its the phase angle of impedance. I have tried to apply the solution that was given to me in the text book. Here is my attempt on the question:

"R=55 Ohms, C=26 µF & e is a 740 V, 98Hz power supply. What is the phase angle of impedance?"

The solution:

1/6.28x98x26=62463

55x62463/55^2+62463^2 square root=10656

55/10656tan=295 degrees

I seem to be lost on this question. Thanks.
