pa stability

Dear all~!

Thanks in advance.

When I check PA stability, I just check k-factor.(K>1)

Is it enough to check k-factor for stability? or I should check others in addition.

Please let me know it.

vswr stability

K-factor in general is good for small signal or very linear power amplifiers (Class A).
It is anyway a good starting point for your analysis, at least to see out of band instabilities.
For a power amplifier characterization you need a load-pull (source and load) vs stability.
Also a bias point vs linearity vs stability would help getting a good PA design.

vswr load cadence

what the environment is ? ADS? OR Cadence? or others?

Dear vfone,
Any document shared to us?Thank you.

Thank you for reply~!

I use cadence RF Spectre, and PA is class AB type.

I checked bias point, and linearity.

For large signal, should I check others except K-factor?

Once you get the simulated amplifier to work, it is wise to try the load pulling on a real physical version of the amplifier.
