Hi all,
I want to know about Network Managment Systems.
an introduction to it and some typical projects can be very good.

Thx
RT.

NMS is a monitoring and control system of managed devices through a Management Protocol such as SNMP, RMON. Therefore it include
- Agent/MIB software installed in managed device
- Management PC which installed Network Management Application ( eg HP Openview or vender specific application)
- Common Management protocol
- Managed devices ( Routers , Servers ,Hosts, Radio Eqipments etc..)
- Access network

Therefore you can download a free or vendor specific application and then implement a network after you can manage your devices remotely using Managemnt software

Such as SQL Server 2000, etc.

NMS stands for Network Management System and it is a combination of hardware and software used to monitor and administer a network.
