Hi

I am trying to measure the output capacitance of the circuit using the S-Param simulation and with the "Zin" tool. The problem is that I need the DC voltage of a node to. When I name the node and go the "Data Display Window", I cannot see the named node. Why?

Dear Friend
from component palette select simulation-DC
then select DC and add it to your schematic
by this way in the simulation results you can see your dc node voltages

good luck

i agree , or from simlutae window select annotate DC solution

khouly

It says:

"Either DC analysis was not performed in the last analysis of the design or dc data of Swept analysis cannot be back-annotated at this time"

What should I do?

Interesting, Now, no HB simulation is performed.

how HB and Dc sgould be performed ?

can u send ur project

khouly

Dear Khouly

What I actually need is to know whether my transistor is in the triode region or not?

Thanks

simply in the HB engine in Params tabe , and select Device operating point detailed , and ur done

wish this solve ur problem

But I have to use S-parameter to measure Zin.

yeah , but S paramter simulation , it is very normal to use

But it keeps giving me the error that I have written above. I have attached the circuit. I appreciate your help. Just could you please tell me how you have figured out the operating region using ADS?

yeah , it gives u this coz u r sweeping the DC , so there is no one operating point , its a sweep

to be able to get all the data , don't sweep the voltage make it single point

to know the region , get the Vdsat , and see if ur VDS is large than it
