Hi everyone,

here is a not logic circuit, I have some questions about it? please help.

1) is it not logic circuit?

2) if MCU is high level, how much power consumption (current) for this not logic circuit?

3) if MCU is low level, the result is?

thank you

1) Yes it is
2) P = IC^2 * 5k + IC*VCE + IB^2*10k + IB*VBE
3) P = IC_leak^2*5k + IC_leak* (2.5V - IC_leak*5K)
You might need to add some loss if drawing the current from output

1. if circuit is driven 0 to saturation , we can call this logic inverter.

2. Imcusource = (2.5 - 0.7) / 10 [mA] = 180µA ( assumed : mcu inner impedance = 0 )

3. practical zero ( leak Ib )

thanks umesh49,

how to calculate IC, IC=IE-IB?

hi Kaka111,
I think this current is IB only
Imcusource = (2.5 - 0.7) / 10 [mA] = 180µA ( assumed : mcu inner impedance = 0 )
(2.5v is not right, I think)
if it is total current, it should be
IE=Imcusource(IB)+IC(2.5/5K), is it right?
