net send not working ???

Hello frens and seniors of edaboard.
Em back with a new prob..hope it will be solved
my net send command doesnt work properly. first i went to the "services.msc" and started the messenger, still it didnt work. To make it work everytime when the command window starts i have to type "set path=c:\windows\system32" and it works. What i had to do to make it work permanently.

ExPycho,

Go to control panel >> Administrative Tools >> Services

double click on the messanger service

in the general tap, for startup type select automatic

apply and start the service

you should also check in the reciepent side that there is no firewall stopping the reception of those messages
