Need help with Telemetry/ Data transmission thru FM or FSK

I know that this is a repeat post, but i didnt know where to post it:
I'm constructing a telemetry ckt that relays temperature data wirelessly thru rf. My professor suggested FSK or FM, but i'm not sure how to go about it. Can anyone help me with the nessary data/schematics and tell me the book(s) that might be useful in this regard.

First of all, check your data, is it analog or digital ? if it is analog u can use FM but if it is digital, it is better to use FSK
after that u should regard your wireless channel and some calculations about BER in your channel, if it is importante for u.

the data is digital or analog......if ur data is analoge u can use fm and in the case of digital u can use fsk....
