Need a clarfication for formatting the Memory card..

Hi

Can any one tell me for the how i can do card formatting in memory card?. Also i want to know the What is the need for FAT in storage devices?.

In system u have a usb drive means insert your card with card reader and right click the corresponding colon to format the disk..

Added after 2 minutes:

Sorry I mistaken not a usb drive. Use usb port.
