i am trying to design a converter that takes in analog signal and convert to hd 1080p, my knowledge in electronics design is very poor and i am wondering if anyone can give me a kick start as to any idea? I know i will need to use some microprocessor and i am thinking to use ARM9 becuase i see that it is pretty popular to use these days. Is that a good processor to use? What other components do i need to consider in this project? Also i have been reading online saying linux based code, just exactly which linux is good for hardware programming? Thanks
