Hello,
I have an ADC based voltage-mode accelerometer readout device (I'm not allowed to take it apart due to warranty, so don't know about inner workings of it) which in specs states:
Frequency range - DC to 46kHz with 54 cutoff frequencies
I understand cut-off frequency idea as such, but what does this mean I cannot grasp - are there 54 low-pass filters (doesn't make much sense), are they filtered digitally or even how can I know values of these cutoff frequencies?
Maybe anyone with experience in vibration controllers or similar devices can enlighten me?
Thanks

Hi,

for me it sounds like you can choose one of 54 cutoff frequencies. Maybe the device hase some interface (I2C, SPI...) to adjust/setup the accelerometer for your needs.

A search in the datasheet for "cutoff" may show you the "how to"...

Hope this helps
Klaus
