hi,

does anybody know how to synthesize a bpf at 9.3ghz center frequency,
passband = 9.0-9.6GHz,rejection @8.3ghz and 10.3ghz is 60db.insertion loss <=3db, using microstrip tecnology.i'm trying with ms interdigital filter having 5 resonators.

if anybody has some idea kindly share it on this forum.
with regards
abhi

You can try other topologies like coupled lines or capacitive gaps .
"Microwave Engineering " by David Pozar includes many topologies for filters at chapter 8 (2nd edition) .
you may also want to refer to Microstrip Filters for RF/Microwave Applications. Jia-Sheng Hong, M. J. Lancaster

which s/w u r using for it

try the filter synthesize in ADS u can check all types of BPF , and also check the EM simulation with it

khouly

u can use microwave office,it conains some examples of bpf,or using ie3d from zeland,it has alot of examples already in it

Both Ansoft Designer and Eagleware have filter synthesis tools for various microstrip filter topologies. Keep an eye on LINC2 as a synthesis tool is due to appear there too.

hi,
General topology in Genesys wont suuport for narrow band application .U have go to realise the filter with open stub .

Added after 2 minutes:

Hi,
For narrow band application like 10.3 to 10.5 GHz band width which topology u prefer.I am looking for stripline configuration .

Any suggestion from you.

vibin
