MDC frequency in ethernet <= 2.5MHz ?

Hello everyone,

Can someone give a brief explanation that why is MDC frequency of ethernet is less than or equal to (<=) 2.5 MHz

beacuse you neednot give a higher freq on MDC,
a slow freq is enough .
