How can we find out the max. operating frequency for any particular VLSI technology?. ( for ex. 90nm).

I beleive that they use the wavelength as a reference , and from it they can calculate the frequency
i.e for the 90 nm as a minimum spacing .. a the minimum wavelength used is about 90nm

The max operating frequency is up to both specific design and semiconductor

process, we can't decide max operating frequency only by semiconductor

process.

best regards

maybe the max operating frequency cannot exceed the speed of operation of the fastest transistor in that particular techlology, but it is a very optimistic assumption, but that will be difinitely the max speed u can operate, theoritically.
