Dear Friends,
I have been tricked by a LVS error for such a long time now, and really expect some helps from you guys.
In the circuit where a large value poly resistor is employed, instead of setting a single bar, I have made multiple bars for it so that the resistor looks closer to a square in the layout. The layout and the schematic settings are displayed respectively as below:
Nevertheless, such a simple thing unbelievably leads to a series of LVS failures. Please check the captures as below:
As you could see here, the first direct error is concerned with the parameter of the resistor, that is, lvs checking could NOT recognize the 5-bars based poly resistor as a whole entity, but instead, it thinks the 5 bars resistors are independent with each other. Therefore, furthermore some more NET CONNECTIONS related LVS error will be correspondingly generated.
Until now, I suppose this may be due to some LVS tool drawbacks, thanks so much for any suggestions.
