powerline communication

I want to do a project on transmitting command and control data over power lines. Where can I get detailed information about building a power line communication system.

Re: powerline communication

Here's a good application note, including some theory on X-10 power line communication protocol:

The theory also can be found at

If you are interested in controlling lots of devices with a secure protocol, you can try LonWorks from **broken link removed** , they have some source code too.
