You have nothing to use a compiler for if you use ASM!
For ASM you only use an assembler. You can download MPLAB for free at www.microchip.com
It has built in assembler.
microchip do supply c compiler for PIC18 for sure but if u r using PIC16, u will ahve to check, as far as i remember, for PIC16, it all assembly assembler
