how could i program pic 18f to steer stepper motor????????
acctully i need in details how stepper motor works and whats the practical type of stepper should i use thanks in advance..

The EASY WAY

Use ON-SEMI AMIS30624 IC 2 phase sterper controller driver 20 pin SOIC

This ic use I2C communication for energizing and moving a stepper motor

for fine micro step

All though the chip is costly - it might save time
all the best
