modelsim failure to obtain vhdl license

I am using modelsim - altera version.

The license it takes from server, for some work i have used ethernet hub and connected my pc through that hub.

Now i have switched on my modelsim, and while simulating vhdl file i got this error message.
Failure to obtain vhdl license.

What could be the reason???????any idea..

Note: My license is loaded on server and it is not expired.
I have checked installing modelsim in another pc, still same prob.
Is there any corruption of registery files????(this is my guess)

Thanks in Adv.....

hi,
first perform the license status enquiry from the license manager i.e. flexlm tool
check that your server does not have firewall enabled. if every thing is alright then configure your server for a service then start the service. and in the client PC where you use modelsim give the license path as the sever pc port.you may njeed to change the environmental variables of ur pc

hope it helps
