May i know am i able to use multimeter to show the different power consumption of LED and fluorescent. And if i am not wrong LED is much better than fluorescent.

you can use a multimeter to measure LED power consumption in certain circuits.

but for flourescent types if it is highfreq types, then you cant do it directly.
you can only power supply of flouresc tube circuit and find the total power.

LED is good or bad wrf to flourescent depends on which light you are comparing.
generally you cant say. both are good and both are bad.

So is CFL and/or incandesent lamp of high frequency? So LED is good in what way and fluorescent is good in what way? What if the light is to be use in an open area. Anyway i am connecting the lighting to a PV module. So LED will be much wiser right? As some energy will be lost from the inverter when flurescent is used.

You also would want a good measurement of light output to get
at an efficiency number, which is the whole point of both types.
This might have some nuances, want filtering for only visible band
etc. I bet there are defined test methods for light output.

Then too, in the end only "wallplug" efficiency matters,
you could presume that all modern ballasts do power factor
correction or you could instrument up with a meter that factors
in the phase angle. But you do not necessarily need or want to
measure at the internal chop frequency, depending on what you
are after - efficiency of the light producing element itself, or of
the entire assembly. The latter matters to the end user.

good or bad depends on final application of the concerned light.

LED is efficient and does not require that high voltage but its o/p coverage is only a limited area. so if your applic is for very small space then ok for LED.
the apparent whiteness of led light depends on the manufacturer. most are bluish white , good in some but irritating in some appl.

flourescent , that is conventional 4f/2ft is the best of all in terms 'light output and coverage area'.

CFL again whiteness on manufacturer dependent .
al where you wnat the light to be fitted. then comes the efficiency.

Oh. So each got each bemefits. Ok thanks.

i suggest flouroscent for its mild brightness..
